An Epic Desert Escape: Landers, CA

Project Scope: New Construction, Architectural Design, Site Development

Situated on five acres of pristine desert landscape with the commanding presence of Goat Mountain as its backdrop, this ground-up build was a complete realization of our vision for modern living. Our goal was to create a home that was not just built in the desert, but was an integral part of its rugged and beautiful surroundings.

The unique architectural design features a two-building layout, an intentional choice to create a dialogue between the structures and the environment. The primary building houses the main living, dining, and entertaining spaces, while the second structure serves as the private quarters for the four bedrooms, creating a clear separation between public and private life.

The architecture is defined by its clean lines, minimalist aesthetic, and an abundance of floor-to-ceiling glass that frames breathtaking views from every room. A curated palette of natural materials—including polished concrete floors and warm wood accents—was used to complement the desert's earthy tones. The outdoor living spaces were meticulously designed to offer a seamless transition from indoors to out, creating an intimate retreat for relaxation and a dramatic stage for entertaining.

The result is a sophisticated and tranquil sanctuary, intentionally designed as a premium short-term vacation rental. Every detail was curated to offer guests a profound connection to the landscape and an unforgettable escape in the heart of the Mojave desert.
